COUPLE BUSTED IN MIDNIGHT MOCKINGBIRD DRIVE METH STOP IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

On March 7, 2026, at approximately 11:49 PM, Cumberland County Deputy Breanna Freeman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Mockingbird Drive due to multiple observed violations. The vehicle was driven by Jerry Lester Green (26, white male, pictured) with passenger Jadaya Jayde Houston (25, white female). Both individuals were known to the deputy for prior involvement with narcotics, and during the interaction, they displayed signs of nervousness, such as rambling and shaking.

Green informed the deputy that he was on probation for evading arrest, and dispatch later confirmed his driver’s license was revoked or suspended. After obtaining verbal consent from both to search the vehicle and their persons, the deputy proceeded. During the pat-down of Houston, she resisted spreading her feet adequately and leaned backward excessively when the deputy approached her crotch area, which she did not do elsewhere during the search.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a white and grey jacket on the passenger seat (claimed by Houston) containing a colorful silicone container with white crystallized residue inside. A field test by Deputy Caleb Charles confirmed the residue as methamphetamine. Confronted about the find, Houston eventually admitted to concealing a “meth pipe”. She then retrieved a glass pipe with burnt residue and a small plastic baggie holding approximately 1.80 grams of a white crystallized substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Both individuals were arrested on-view. Green was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license (bond $1,500). Houston faced charges of simple possession of methamphetamine (bond $2,000) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (bond $1,000), with court dates set for April 13, 2026. The seized narcotics were placed into evidence at the Cumberland County Justice Center.

The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct, not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
