STEWARDSHIP POSTER CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

The Tennessee Association of Conservation Districts (TACD) recently recognized winners of the State Soil and Water Stewardship Poster Contest at the annual state convention.

Four Cumberland County students placed in this state contest.

The first-place winner in the kindergarten-first grade category was Maverick Simonds, who attends North Cumberland Elementary. Crab Orchard Elementary Student Crimson Waldo placed second in the 2nd-3rd grade category.

Tucker Brown, who also attends Crab Orchard Elementary, won first place in the 4th-6th grade category.

Cumberland County High School student Natalie Dowlen placed second in the 10th-12th grade category.

The SWCD would also like to express appreciation to everyone who promotes soil and water stewardship and encourages students to participate in this annual contest.
