FENTRESS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE JOINS PROCLAMATION FOR CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office announced that Sheriff Hunter Fowler and Detective Atchley participated in the official signing of a proclamation declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. To mark the occasion, 175 pinwheels were displayed on the Courthouse lawn, with each pinwheel representing one child served by the Fentress County Children’s Center in 2025.
The pinwheels serve as a visible and powerful reminder of the critical need to protect the children in the community. The Sheriff’s Office expressed deep gratitude for its strong partnership with the Children’s Center and emphasized that continued collaboration will help make a meaningful difference. Ultimately, the message highlights a shared commitment to working together to create a safer community for every child.
