CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO DISCUSS CITY MANAGER’S PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND MORE NEXT WEEK

The City of Crossville, Tennessee, will hold a Work Session meeting on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 5:00 PM in Conference Room 317 at City Hall (392 North Main Street). The meeting, presided over by Mayor R.J. Crawford and attended by Council Members Art Gernt, Mike Turner, Mark A. Fox, and James Mayberry, along with City Manager Valerie Hale and City Clerk Baylee Rhea, will begin with a Call to Order, Roll Call, and a period for Public Comment.

The agenda includes a review and discussion of City Manager Valerie Hale’s Annual Performance Evaluation, followed by discussions on several operational and infrastructure matters. These include temporary street closures for the Memorial Day event and the CCHS Homecoming Parade, approval of an annexation resolution and Plan of Service for Bob Tollett Loop, and de-annexation of a specific property. Additional items cover the approval of a turning lane on E. First Street, a rate increase at Meadow Park Lake, a Lowe’s grant application, and various contracts and close-out change orders related to tank inspection, water lines, sewer force main, SCADA improvements at water treatment plants, and taxi way lighting rehabilitation (including engineering grant and contract approvals).

The session will also address an ordinance to amend the FY 25-26 Budget for a street sweeper purchase, along with approvals for multiple FY26/27 bids covering bulk coarse salt, water line supplies, water treatment chemicals, fertilizer, tires and installation, pest control, street striping, cold milling, crushed stone, and annual pump and motor repair services.
