HUMAN REMAINS FOUND NEAR BON AIR IN WHITE COUNTY
On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, a disturbing discovery was made in White County, Tennessee, when a local man found what he believed to be a human skull in a wooded area on property he was visiting along Crossville Highway near Bon Air.
Deputies from the White County Sheriff’s Office responded, confirmed it was indeed a human skull, and conducted a thorough search of the scene. Additional human bones were recovered, indicating the skeletal remains of one person.
The remains have been sent to the medical examiner for further analysis. District Attorney Bryant Dunaway has requested assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), which will now review reports of missing persons in the area as the investigation continues.
