During the April 7, 2026 work session, council reviewed a proposed increase in camping rates at Meadow Park Lake to bring the city’s fees in line with market rates at comparable regional campgrounds.

The recommendation called for raising the rate for sites with sewer hookups by $40 for RVs with electricity, water, and sewer (from the current $30 per night); $35 for RVs with electricity and water (from the current $25 per night); and $25 for tent only (from the current $15). City staff noted that recent improvements at the facility justified the adjustment while still keeping rates competitive and affordable.

Council members agreed that the new rates remained “very cheap” relative to other area campgrounds and would help support ongoing operations and business at the lake. No objections were raised, and the item was advanced for formal approval at the upcoming regular meeting.
