Deborah Hinterman, 72
DEBORAH MICHELE “DEBE” RYAN HINTERMAN age 72, a disciple of Jesus Christ, passed away March 4, 2026. She was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint, MI on January 4, 1954 the youngest of six children of Bernard and Ann Marie Rush Ryan. She graduated from Powers Catholic High School and immediately pursued a degree in business management. Her first employment was as a lab technician at Genesys Hospital in Flint, where she remained until her marriage to William Hinterman, an electrical contractor, in 1981. She worked her way up from secretary to operations manager and project coordinator.
Together, they joined the Lutheran Church Missouri Senate, and 46 years later, Jesus called Debe home. Debe enjoyed traveling in the motorhome, scuba diving, her church family, her dogs, participation in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and studying scripture. Debe’s evangelical smile and loving attitude convinced many a new face to step thru the church door.
She is survived by her husband Bill Hinterman of Fairfield Glade, Kylene Ryan and special niece- Kim and her husband Rod, stepson- Charles Hinterman and his wife Sandy, great grandson- Gabriel Hinterman and his wife Jess, sisters-in-law- Diane Kopec and Susan Williams, brothers-in-law- Dan Hinterman and Dr. Jack Hinterman and his wife Carol and many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by four siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 18, 2026 at 11am at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church on Sparta Hwy. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am-11am prior to the service at the church.
The family has respectfully asked that donations be made to the Humane Society or the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
