TRUCK CARRYING OVER 1 MILLION BEES CRASHES IN KNOXVILLE; I-40 RAMP CLOSED BY TDOT
A truck carrying a load of bees crashed on the ramp from I-40 East to Henley Street in Knoxville, Tennessee, causing the bees to escape and swarm the area.
As a result, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has closed the ramp while crews work to corral the bees. TDOT spokesperson Mark Nagi confirmed the incident, noting that officials are actively attempting to manage the situation.
Drivers in the downtown Knoxville area should prepare for traffic backups due to the closure.
