MAN CHARGED IN FATAL PIGEON FORGE SHOOTING OUTSIDE DOLLY PARTON’S STAMPEDE
A 24-year-old man from Illinois, Evan Cogdill, has been charged with criminally negligent homicide in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Jacob Inselmann outside Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Pigeon Forge police responded to a 911 call around 7:35 p.m. Saturday after reports of a gunshot in the venue’s parking lot. Officers found both men inside a vehicle, where Cogdill reportedly told them he had a handgun that accidentally discharged, striking Inselmann. The victim was transported to LeConte Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
