Among the 145 schools recognized since the program’s 2018 inception, Midway Middle School in Roane County has distinguished itself by earning the Two-time STEM Designation. This prestigious status signifies that Midway Middle has not only implemented a robust STEM curriculum but has successfully sustained excellence in this area for over five years, completing a redesignation cycle that proves their long-term dedication to student success.
To achieve this honor, Midway Middle School underwent a comprehensive evaluation process involving site visits, interviews, and a deep dive into five core pillars: infrastructure, curriculum, professional development, student achievement, and community partnerships.
