MAN ARRESTED FOR INTOXICATION AND REGISTRATION FRAUD AFTER PASSING OUT IN RUNNING VEHICLE

On May 1, 2026, MPO Justin Farmer responded to a call at Weigel’s regarding a man, later identified as Arnoldo Elias Ambrocio, who had been passed out in the driver’s seat of a 2018 GMC Sierra for roughly ninety minutes. Upon arrival, Cumberland County Deputies had already awakened Mr. Ambrocio, noting that the vehicle was still in gear with his foot on the brake. MPO Farmer observed that Mr. Ambrocio had red, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol; the suspect subsequently failed a consented breath test. A search of the vehicle revealed an unopened beer in the truck’s toolbox, and dispatch confirmed that Mr. Ambrocio did not possess a valid driver’s license.

Further investigation by Sgt. Keith Sadula revealed that the registration sticker on the vehicle’s license plate did not match the plate itself, leading to the seizure of the tag. MPO Farmer placed Mr. Ambrocio under arrest and transported him to the Justice Center, where he was charged with Public Intoxication, Driving without a License, and Altering an Automobile Registration. Following the arrest, the suspect’s truck, phone, and wallet were released to his wife at his request.
