DRIVER EVADING POLICE CRASHES CORVETTE IN CROSSVILLE, INJURING TWO CHILDREN
On May 3, 2026, at 12:49 PM, a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette driven by 31-year-old Daniel Tyler Crawford was traveling north on Genesis Road in Crossville while actively evading the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department. While attempting to negotiate a right curve, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an earth embankment, and collided with a standing tree before coming to rest.
Crawford was not wearing a seat belt and was not injured. The vehicle had two juvenile passengers from Tennessee: a 6-year-old male and a 4-year-old female.
Both were properly restrained with seat belts and sustained injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Crawford faces six charges; reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, evading arrest, reckless driving, and two counts of aggravated child abuse/ neglect/ endangerment.
