CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES FIRE STATION #1 ADDITION BID
The Crossville City Council approved a bid for the Fire Station #1 Addition at their meeting on Tuesday night, with only Council member James Mayberry voting against it. In a memo dated May 6, 2026, City Engineer Don Cole recommended awarding the project to ETC Construction, LLC of Crossville, TN, after determining that their proposal met the RFP’s evaluation criteria and was both good and acceptable.
The project involves the design and construction of a pre-engineered metal building totaling approximately 5,948 square feet, including an Apparatus Bay (58’ x 60’), a Truck Bay (58’ x 33.5’), and an interconnecting hallway (10’ x 52.5’) linking to the existing facility. The lump sum base bid, which includes a $30,000 construction contingency allowance, is $1,430,425. Adding Alternate #1 for radiant heated floors would increase the total to $1,578,720.
