NICHOLAS HOLLOWAY SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS FOR 2020 SECOND-DEGREE MURDER

Nicholas Holloway was sentenced on Thursday, May 14, 2026, after pleading guilty to Second Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Kidnapping in the 2020 beating death of Robert Quenton McCullough. McCullough was last seen on October 7, 2020, and reported missing by his mother ten days later. His body was discovered on December 2, 2020, in an abandoned trailer in Oakdale, Tennessee (Morgan County), following a tip that led the Roane County Sheriff’s Office to the location.

Holloway received a total effective sentence of 25 years in the Tennessee Department of Correction. His co-defendants were previously sentenced: Joshua Aikens pled guilty to First Degree Murder and received life, while Shane Parks pled guilty to Second Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Kidnapping and received 45 years. The resolution of Holloway’s case concludes the prosecution of all three individuals involved.

The investigation was a multi-agency effort involving the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, Rockwood Police Department, Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, the Knox County Regional Forensic Center, and the Forensic Anthropology Team. The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Bob Edwards and Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Edwards, with assistance from Victim Witness Coordinator Tami Bailey.
