TWO CRASHES REPORTED IN ROANE COUNTY ON SATURDAY
Two vehicle crashes occurred in Roane County on Saturday.
In the Coalfield community, a crash in front of the Snack and Pack store at the intersection of Highway 62 shut down the busy roadway for a time during the early afternoon. A Life Star helicopter landed in a field across from Coalfield High School amid graduation ceremonies, briefly delaying the event, while Highway 62 was also closed at the intersection with Highway 61 and Oliver Springs during the investigation and vehicle removal.
Later that evening around 8 p.m., another crash on North Kentucky Street in Kingston sent two people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
