J.C. Hancock, Army veteran and 30 plus year Crossville Police Department Officer, passed away on May 9th, 2026 at the age of 62.

In his time of service to his beloved community, he served in many roles. Beginning as a patrol officer, he served as a DARE Instructor, School Resource Officer, Driving School Instructor, Detective Sergeant and Patrol Staff Sergeant. J.C. cared for the people of this community and was a valued member of the Crossville Police Department.

J.C. Hancock was a dedicated family man. His love of his family, friends and community was evident in every facet of his life. He dedicated himself not only to his loved ones, but to the community he served faithfully.

Please keep his family, friends and community in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of a husband, father, friend and protector. Services to honor J.C. will be held on Saturday May 23, 2026 at Oak Lawn Farms, 5754 Old US Hwy 70 East, Crossville, TN, from 2pm-5pm.
