CROSSVILLE MAN ARRESTED FOR METHAMPHETAMINE MAN./ DEL./ SALE/ POSSESSION

On May 19, 2026, at approximately 4:40 PM, Deputy Devyne Templeton of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle driven by Anthony Wayne Perry, a 57-year-old white male from Crossville whom the deputy knew had a revoked driver’s license. After confirming the revocation through dispatch, the deputy attempted a traffic stop, but Perry continued to his residence at Timothy Drive. Perry was detained for officer safety.

With his consent, the deputy searched his person and then his vehicle. During the vehicle search, a small clear plastic bag containing approximately 3.17 grams of a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine was found under the driver’s seat, within Perry’s immediate reach. Perry and his passenger were both questioned after being read their Miranda rights; both denied knowledge of the substance.

Perry was arrested on-view for manufacturing, delivering, selling, or possessing methamphetamine. He was transported to the county intake facility for booking, and a warning citation was issued for driving on a revoked license. The suspected methamphetamine was seized and will be submitted to the TBI Crime Lab for analysis.
