RONNIE MCDOWELL BRINGS RED, WHITE AND BLUE TOUR TO HARRIMAN’S PRINCESS THEATER
Ronnie McDowell has announced his brand-new Red, White, and Blue Tour, which will stop at the Princess Theater in Harriman on June 5th, with doors open at 6 PM, and the show proper starting at 7 PM. He is joined by two distinctive country voices: Jeff Bates and Paulette Carlson, founder and lead singer of Highway 101. The show celebrates America’s upcoming 250th birthday and honors the nation’s musical heritage, fitting for McDowell, a three-term Vietnam veteran.
McDowell, known as an “Entertainer’s Entertainer,” rose to fame in 1977 with his self-penned Elvis tribute “The King Is Gone,” which sold over six million copies. He became known as the “voice of Elvis” in films and television and was mentored by Conway Twitty, who treated him like a son and opened doors in his career. The tour will feature many of McDowell’s 30 Top 40 hits, including “Older Women,” “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation,” and “In A New York Minute,” along with tributes to Elvis and Twitty (including their Top 5 duet “It’s Only Make Believe”).
Jeff Bates, who broke through in 2003 with the album “Rainbow Man” and later achieved success in Christian Country, brings fan favorites and material from his new album “Don’t Hold Me to It”. He and McDowell have been close friends and collaborators since 2014, sharing a love for Conway Twitty’s music. The show includes a special gospel segment featuring traditional hymns from Bates’ recent project Hymns from the Church in the Wildwood.
Paulette Carlson rounds out the lineup. With Highway 101, she earned Vocal Group of the Year honors and scored multiple No. 1 and Top 10 hits such as “The Bed You Made for Me,” “Cry, Cry, Cry,” and “Somewhere Tonight.” After years away from the road while raising a family in Montana, Carlson is excited to return to performing in intimate settings alongside top-tier talent like McDowell.
McDowell, who recently duetted with Dolly Parton on her album “RockStar” and scored a No. 1 independent single with “Thing About Texas,” promises a fun, patriotic celebration. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. Reserved tickets and more details are available at www.theredwhiteandbluetour.com.
