Despite recent rainfall, the South Roane County Volunteer Fire Department responded yesterday to a tractor fire that started while bush hogging. By the time firefighters arrived, the bush hog was fully engulfed in flames.

Crews quickly brought the fire under control and prevented it from spreading further, with no injuries reported. The department reminds everyone to remain vigilant when working outdoors, as dry grass, hot equipment, and mechanical issues can still spark dangerous fires even after wet weather.
