Rosalyn (Rose) Marie Bostic, 77 of Cookeville, Tennessee, formerly of Spring City, passed away Saturday May 30, 2026 at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton, Tennessee.

She was born October 18, 1948 to the late Gregory and Helen Gilbert Szakovits in Freemont Ohio. Rose was a graduate of Clyde High School in Ohio and served her country in the United States AirForce. During her career she worked in the customer service industry and retired from Adams Manufacturing. Rose loved to collect antiques. She attended 1st Christian Church in Cookeville.

Rose is preceded in death by her brothers; Gregory “Yank” and David Szakovits as well as her father-in-law George Bostic and sister-in-law Connie Thurman.

Rose is survived by her husband of 48 years George Bostic of Cookeville, Tennessee; her children; George (Leann) Walker of Cookeville and Michael (Miranda) Bostic US Navy, Texas. Rose is also survived by her sister Joyce Peters of Clyde, Ohio. She survived by 3 grandchildren Britin (Clint) Julian, Mayce (Jake) Pierce and Daleigh Walker (Richard Veal); her 4 great grandchildren Axton, Kyler, Kimber and Brecken. Rose is the beloved daughter-in-law of Wanda Bostic and the sister-in-law of Sam (Cathy) Bostic. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City with Bro. Bruce Green presiding. Interment to follow in Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, June 5, 2026 from 5 PM until 7PM in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home.
