A significant multi-vehicle accident has been reported in Cumberland County this morning, causing traffic disruptions for commuters on Interstate 40 Eastbound. The crash occurred shortly before 7:30 AM Central Time near mile marker 308.

As a result of the collision, responders have blocked off both the left eastbound lane and the left shoulder to secure the scene and clear the involved vehicles. Because only one of the two travel lanes remains open to traffic, drivers traveling through the area should expect immediate delays and are advised to exercise extra caution or seek alternative routes if possible.
