Marcus Aaron Couch, 29

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marcus Aaron Couch, 29, of Kingston, Tennessee, on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Marcus was a devoted son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, and friend whose love for his family knew no bounds. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need, never expecting anything in return. His generous spirit, kind heart, and infectious sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Marcus dedicated more than 10 years of his life to his work as an HVAC professional at the University of Tennessee, where he was respected for his talent, dedication, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things he loved most—hunting, fishing, reading, playing video games, working on cars with his dad, and spending time outdoors. No matter where he was or what he was doing, Marcus was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

Those who knew Marcus will remember his quick wit, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and his ability to make people laugh even during difficult times. He had a way of making others feel valued and cared for. His strength, loyalty, and selflessness were unmatched, and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Marcus is survived by his loving parents, Christina and Ronnie Couch; his sister, Abbagail Couch and her husband Keegan; his grandfather, Bob, and grandmother, Darlene; his aunt Jennifer and uncle Derek; his nephew, Brandon Reed; his nieces, Ally Reed and Molly Reed; his aunt Tammy and uncle Terry; his cousin Jessica, her husband Chris, and their son Bryer; his uncle Billy, his uncle Bobby and aunt Karen, his uncle Tay and aunt Carol and their children.

Marcus was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mickie Gregory; his paternal grandparents, Thelma and Raymond Carroll; and his uncles, Chuck and Marc.

While words cannot fully express the pain of losing Marcus, they also cannot fully capture the incredible person he was. He touched countless lives through his kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for his family. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain forever.

Marcus will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten.
