RILEY PAWLICK INDICTED FOR 2ND-DEGREE MURDER IN SHOOTING DEATH OF HOLDEN HOWSE

The Roane County Grand Jury has indicted 17-year-old Riley Pawlick for second-degree murder and other charges relating to the shooting death of 19-year-old Holden Howse. The incident occurred during a party at the Mr. Clean car detail shop in Harriman, a business owned by former City Councilman Brian Frost and hosted by his son, Harriman Firefighter Bradley Frost.

Pawlick, who was previously transferred to adult court, had been free on a $100,000 bond under strict conditions, including a 9 p.m. curfew and a GPS ankle monitor. However, he was recently arrested in Knox County following a high-speed pursuit initiated by a Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper who pulled him over for speeding in a Camaro.

Pawlick allegedly fled the traffic stop, crashed into another vehicle, and was later apprehended at an apartment complex, resulting in new charges for felony reckless endangerment, felony evading, leaving the scene of an accident, and underage possession of vape cartridges. Because Tennessee law dictates that a juvenile transferred to adult court remains treated as an adult for subsequent offenses, these new charges were issued as criminal warrants rather than juvenile petitions.

Consequently, District Attorney General Russell Johnson’s office has successfully filed a motion to revoke Pawlick’s original bond, and Judge Wicks has signed a capias for his arrest.
