CROSSVILLE WOMAN TO APPEAR IN COURT TOMORROW ON BURGLARY CHARGES AND MORE
Erica Nicole Gilley of Crossville is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court on Thursday, June 18th, facing multiple criminal charges. She is represented by attorney Jeff Vires across six distinct docket items stemming from two separate incidents.
The first two charges, filed on November 13, 2025, by Officer Shade Foster, include Simple Possession/Casual Exchange and Public Intoxication. According to the affidavits, these charges arose from an incident on November 6, 2025, when police responded to a report of a female passed out in a vehicle at a Rural King parking lot. Officer Foster discovered Gilley and a co-defendant, John Dishman, displaying slurred speech, lethargy, constricted pupils, and disorientation. After Gilley admitted to taking Xanax and refused field sobriety tests, both individuals were arrested for public intoxication. A subsequent K9 search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 0.49 grams of a grey powdery substance, believed to be fentanyl, hidden in a dash compartment.
The remaining four charges, filed in late April 2026 by Deputy Morgan Alvarez, involve Aggravated Burglary (Habitation), Burglary (Other than Habitat), Theft up to $1,000, and Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. These charges stem from an April 22, 2026, incident where an off-duty police officer discovered Gilley and Dishman inside a detached garage on Scarlett Drive. Property owners confirmed that no one was permitted on the premises. Upon Deputy Alvarez’s arrival, Gilley consented to a search, which revealed a smoking pipe, a burnt piece of tinfoil, a hollow pin with burnt residue, a lighter, a case knife, a prescription pill bottle belonging to another individual, and various pieces of jewelry. The homeowner identified the jewelry, knife, and pill bottle as stolen items from the property, valuing them at approximately $540.00, resulting in Gilley’s arrest and transport to the Cumberland County Jail.
