Joann McKinney White, age 68, of Kingston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 30, 1958, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late James and Gladys McKinney.

Joann married the love of her life, Edward Eugene White, in 1983, and together they raised two wonderful daughters. She loved spending time with her family and traveling. Joann especially cherished taking mother-daughter trips with Kathy. She was a loving nana, who enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren and loved cuddling with her little dogs, Beauty and Kopa. Joann was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Rena White; and sisters, Loretta Kay and Margie Irene White.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Edward Eugene White of Ten Mile; daughter, Kathy Jo White of Ten Mile; grandchildren, Erica Treadway, Bridget Treadway, Chelsey Smith, and Brian Smith; sisters, Jean Hall of Rocky Top and Freida Walker and husband Floyd of Kingston; brothers, Virgil McKinney of Kentucky and Burlin McKinney and wife Phyllis of Oliver Springs; and a special mention of Abby Crabtree, whom she loved as one of her own grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Fraker Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Andy Moore officiating. The family and friends will then go in procession to Browns Cemetery in Kingston for interment.
