SPARTA TEEN AND FLORIDA WOMAN SUSTAIN SERIOUS INJURIES IN CRASH AT CROSSVILLE INTERSECTION

A three-vehicle collision at a Crossville intersection on Wednesday afternoon left two drivers hospitalized with suspected serious injuries, according to a Crossville Police Department traffic report released Thursday.

The incident occurred on June 17, 2026, at approximately 2:27 PM at the four-way intersection of Interstate Drive and Old Jamestown Highway. According to the report filed by investigating officer Sgt. Keith A. Sadula, 77-year-old Wanda Sue Feltner of Crossville was operating a 2015 Honda Civic when she attempted to enter the intersection from Old Jamestown Highway. Feltner told police she looked both ways before proceeding, but failed to yield the right-of-way, striking a westbound 2017 Nissan Altima driven by a 17-year-old from Sparta.

The impact caused the teen driver’s vehicle to spin across the roadway, where it collided with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler driven by 51-year-old Chasity Ann Woodson of Pensacola, Florida. Woodson’s vehicle had been stopped in the eastbound turn lane of Interstate Drive, waiting to turn left onto Old Jamestown Highway.

Both the teen driver and Woodson suffered suspected serious injuries and were transported by ground EMS to Cumberland Medical Center (CMC) for treatment. Feltner was uninjured, and two 17-year-old passengers in the teen driver’s vehicle also escaped injury. All three vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene by Scarlett’s Towing.
