KINGSTON CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER $1M BOAT RAMP PROJECT AT TUESDAY MEETING

The Kingston City Council is set to convene for its regular monthly meeting this Tuesday evening, July 14, at 6:00 p.m. at Kingston City Hall, featuring a busy agenda focused on local infrastructure improvements and commercial growth.

Key Agenda Highlights

  • Ladd Landing Improvement Project: Council members will consider awarding a major $1,037,200 bid to Skilled Services Quality Construction, LLC. Funded in part by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), the proposed project involves replacing one boat ramp, repairing a second ramp, and extending a water line to the pavilion.

  • New Business Certification: The council will review a Certificate of Compliance application for Next Chapter Coffee Café, proposed to open at 321 East Race Street.

  • Grant Participation: A resolution is on the table to authorize Kingston’s participation in the Public Entity Partners Property Conservation Matching Grant Program.

  • Road Closure Request: Officials will evaluate a request submitted by neighboring property owners to officially close Old Center’s Ferry Road.
