A hours-long police search for a suspect involved in a domestic disturbance came to an end late Monday night when law enforcement apprehended 22-year-old Alexander Aurelius Harmon.

Kingston Police Department officers initially responded to a call at a campground located at 120 Farmer Road, behind the Weigel’s off Gallihar Road, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Monday. According to Kingston Police Captain Tony Guy, no injuries required hospital transportation following the incident. However, Harmon fled the scene prior to police arrival, triggering a multi-agency search that lasted several hours.

A deputy with the Roane County Sheriff’s Office eventually spotted Harmon late Monday evening near the former Michael Dunn Center building. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Roane County Jail, where he remained overnight before being officially booked around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Jail records indicate Harmon faces multiple charges, including:

• Domestic assault

• Violation of probation

• Failure to appear
