The lawsuit, originally filed in 2023, accuses Mark Zuckerberg’s company of violating the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act by deploying “unfairly and deceptively addictive” design features specifically engineered to keep young users hooked on the platform. Tennessee is one of 42 states across the country currently pursuing legal action against the trillion-dollar company over similar claims of harmful business practices.
