Police were called to the Hampton Inn on Hospitality Drive early Tuesday afternoon following reports of a suspicious man in the parking lot, according to an incident report released by the Crossville Police Department.

Upon arriving at the scene shortly after 1:00 p.m. on July 28, officers encountered a 37-year-old male resident wearing only blue shorts. According to the reporting officer, the man appeared sexually aroused and was actively stimulating himself against the inside of his shorts.

Hotel staff informed responding officers that the suspect had been lingering in the parking lot since the previous night. While the man claimed he had only arrived that afternoon, police noted this was the second time in two days officers were dispatched to deal with him exhibiting the same behavior.

At the request of hotel management, officers officially served the man with a property ban, warning him not to return to the Hampton Inn premises.

Since the man wasn’t formally arrested or charged, his name will remain unused for this story.
