A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 eastbound near the Buttermilk Road exit left one person with serious injuries late last night.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene of the crash, which occurred at a known trouble spot along the interstate. The injured victim was treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
