DUAL CRASHES CAUSE TRAFFIC DELAYS IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Motorists traveling through Cumberland County face significant delays Friday afternoon following two separate vehicle crashes reported minutes apart on Interstate 40 and State Route 101.
The first incident occurred at approximately 12:36 PM on Interstate 40 Westbound near Mile Marker 317 (updated by TDOT at Mile Marker 318). The single-vehicle crash involved a red SUV and a semi-truck, blocking the right lane of two lanes as well as the right shoulder. The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
Shortly after, at 12:53 PM, a multi-vehicle crash was reported on State Route 101 Southbound (Highway 70 East) near Log Mile 15. The collision resulted in the closure of all southbound left-turn lanes.
