CONAIR EXPANDS RECALL OF CUISINART GRILL BRUSHES TO OVER 3.6 MILLION UNITS DUE TO INGESTION HAZARD
Conair has announced an expansion of its recall for Cuisinart metal wire bristle grill brushes, bringing the total number of recalled products to over 3.6 million. The recall expansion adds roughly 1.9 million brushes to the initial July 2026 recall.

The Hazard: Small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes, stick to food or the grill grate, and pose a severe ingestion hazard. Conair has received 54 reports of detached bristles, including three instances where consumers swallowed metal bristles and required medical treatment to remove them from their throats or digestive tracts.

Affected Products: The recall covers all Cuisinart wire bristle grill brushes sold individually or in sets prior to 2020, as well as specific models sold from June 2009 through March 2026. Affected units were sold at major retailers—including Walmart, Burlington, TJ Maxx, and Ross—and online via Amazon and Cuisinart.com for between $8 and $20.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled brushes. Conair is offering a full refund or a credit for use at Cuisinart.com (which includes a full refund plus 20% of the cash refund amount) for consumers who discard the products.
