KINGSTON CITY COUNCIL HOLDS MONTHLY WORK SESSION TONIGHT TO DISCUSS UTILITY EXPANSIONS AND REGIONAL POLICE AGREEMENTS
Mayor Tim Neal, the Kingston City Council, and city staff are convening for their monthly work session tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Kingston City Hall. The meeting is open to the public and includes a dedicated time for residents to address city government matters.
Tonight’s agenda features several key infrastructure and public safety items:

Water Treatment Expansion: Utility Director Kevin Hamilton will lead talks regarding a professional services agreement with Barge Design Solutions Inc. for the planned expansion of the Kingston Water Treatment Plant.

New Water Meters: The council will review a budgeted $160,000 expenditure to purchase 500 new water meters from USA Utility Solutions and Automation LLC.

Grant Participation: Officials will discuss a resolution allowing the city to participate in the James L. Richardson Driver Training Matching Grant Program.

Public Safety Agreements: The police chief and city manager will present two proposed mutual-aid agreements—one with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, and another establishing a regional SWAT team mutual-aid agreement alongside the Oliver Springs and Harriman police departments.
