Charles William Hild, age 89, of Crossville, TN, passed away on September 16, 2026, at his home. He was surrounded by his family and comforted by the promise of Jesus that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Mr. Hild was born on November 15, 1936, in Harriman, TN, son of Charles Henry Hild and Daisy Iona Hild.

Charles loved farming, fishing and working on his farm. He was also a dedicated member of Oaklawn Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.

He is survived by his children, Pamela Parisian (Dean) and Adam Hild (Lisa); grandchildren, Hunter Parisian, Jordan Parisian, Leland Hild (Destiny), Nathaniel Hild (Megan); and great grandchildren, Branson Hild, Slade Hild, Piper Hild and Scout Hild.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Hild; brother, Jim Hild; and sister, Sue Shroyer.

A Memorial Service will be held at Oaklawn Baptist Church on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
