Kim Phuong Nguyen Preston, the wife and former caretaker of 93-year-old billionaire Life Care Centers of America founder Forrest Preston, has been arrested and indicted on felony charges of elderly and vulnerable adult neglect.

The charges stem from an incident in Bradley County involving Forrest Preston between May 5 and May 6. Following her surrender to jail custody, she was released on a $20,000 bond, with the Cleveland Police Department leading the ongoing investigation.

The arrest marks a major escalation in a long-running family battle over the aging founder’s welfare and multi-billion-dollar estate. Previously, a Bradley County Chancery Court judge ruled Forrest Preston legally disabled and appointed his son, Aubrey Preston, as his sole conservator to protect his health and safeguard companies like Life Care Centers of America and Century Park.

Lance W. Pope, an attorney representing Aubrey Preston, expressed gratitude for law enforcement’s intervention, stating that the family remains fully committed to ensuring Forrest Preston’s safety and managing his legacy.
