A local woman recently arrested for threatening to burn down a gas station found herself in handcuffs once again, this time following a reckless driving incident at a Crossville campground.

Nineta Wilson, 58, was taken into custody on September 10, 2026, after deputies responded to Countryside Campground on Charles Bailey Road. According to a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office incident report released today, the campground owner intercepted Wilson—who was visibly intoxicated, disoriented, and unsteady on her feet—by taking her truck keys to prevent her from driving away. Wilson had already struck a well pipe on the property while driving erratically.

This latest arrest comes just weeks after Wilson’s previous run-in with law enforcement. On August 1, 2026, the Crossville Police Department arrested Wilson for public intoxication after she was found walking half-clothed near an Interstate 40 off-ramp near an Exxon station on Hwy 127 N. During that prior transport to the Cumberland County Justice Center, Wilson’s behavior escalated as she made bizarre accusations against the station owner and explicitly threatened to return and “burn the place to the ground” upon her release.

In the September campground incident, responding deputies noted Wilson smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking earlier that morning. She was booked into the intake facility without further incident and faces a public intoxication charge, with a court date scheduled for October 19, 2026.
