HARRIMAN CITY COUNCIL TO VOTE ON HISTORIC DISTRICT AMENDMENTS AND NEW INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
The Harriman City Council is set to convene for its regular meeting on Monday, October 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the 408 N. Roane St. Plaza, preceded by a public hearing at 5:45 p.m.
At the center of the upcoming agenda is a public hearing and final reading on Ordinance 0926-01, which proposes amendments to Section 11-611 of the Harriman Zoning Ordinance concerning the H-1 Historic Overlay District.
The council will also review several key business items, including:

Engineering Proposals: Consideration of civil engineering design proposals from Keystone Civil Design, LLC for both the Midtown Crossing project and the Papermill site.

Property Acquisition: A proposal to purchase the Riggs Chapel property (Parcel 026N A 001.00) for $5,000.

Surplus and Donations: Approval to declare a 2001 Chevrolet van as surplus property for sale via GovDeals, alongside a motion to donate the city’s impound fencing and gate to the Sheriff’s Department for use at its firing range.

Administrative Business: Routine approvals for the meeting minutes, salaries, bills, and reports from the HUB Treasurer and City Attorney.
The meeting will open with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by time allotted for delegations and citizen comments.
