REBECCA CROSS RECEIVES TWO-YEAR DIVERSION AND RESTITUTION FOR VANDALIZATION OF CROSSVILLE POLICE VEHICLE
Rebecca Ann Cross appeared in the Cumberland County Criminal Court on September 15, 2026, where she pleaded guilty to a charge of vandalism over $2,500, a Class D felony.
The charge stems from an incident on June 8, 2025, in which Cross knowingly caused damage or destruction to a 2012 Honda Civic police vehicle belonging to the Crossville Police Department, valued in excess of $2,500, without official consent.
Rather than proceeding through a grand jury indictment, Cross waived her right to presentment and chose to proceed via an information filed by the Thirteenth Judicial District Attorney General’s office. Attorney Laura Dykes was appointed to represent her during the proceedings.
Under the terms of the plea agreement approved by the court, Cross received a sentence of judicial diversion for two years and was ordered to pay $6,325 in restitution, payable at a rate of $100 per month. The court noted that any remaining balance at the end of her probation may be converted into a civil debt.
