WARM SUNSHINE CONTINUES BEFORE A WEEKEND RAIN CHANCE
A quiet stretch of fall weather continues Tuesday across the Cumberland Plateau and Tennessee Valley. Sunshine will be plentiful, with highs reaching the upper 70s on the plateau and around 80 in the valley. Tuesday night stays mostly clear and cool, with lows around 50 on the plateau and in the middle 50s in the valley.
Temperatures continue climbing through the middle of the week. Wednesday will be sunny with highs around 80 on the Cumberland Plateau and lower 80s in the Tennessee Valley. Thursday looks like the warmest day, reaching the lower 80s on the plateau and middle 80s in the valley. Some patchy early-morning fog is possible Thursday on the plateau, but otherwise the dry and sunny weather continues into Friday.
Saturday brings more clouds, but most of the daytime hours remain dry. Highs will reach the upper 70s on the Cumberland Plateau and lower 80s in the Tennessee Valley. The next chance for rain arrives Saturday night, with a 40 percent chance of showers on the plateau and 30 percent in the valley.
