The incident, which impacted the northbound lanes, led the Kingston Police Department to issue a traffic alert urging motorists to avoid the area. Officers are currently on the scene actively rerouting northbound traffic around the affected zone.

The Kingston Water Department is also on-site and working to complete repairs as quickly as possible. Drivers are advised to expect delays, seek alternate routes, and slow down to give police officers and maintenance crews safe working room.
