KNOX COUNTY WOMAN INDICTED ON 28 CHILD SEX CRIME CHARGES AFTER CYBER TIP

A 33-year-old Knox County woman is in custody after being indicted on 28 charges related to child sex crimes, following an investigation triggered by an online lead.
Desiwray Jewell Davis faces severe charges including two counts of aggravated rape of a child, 20 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to court documents.
The probe began when the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) Digital Intelligence Unit received a cyber tip. Detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Family Crimes Unit collaborated to conduct interviews, gather evidence, and seize electronic devices. The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services also assisted in the investigation.
Davis was arrested following the indictment and booked into the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility. A future court date has not yet been scheduled.
In a statement released on social media, KCSO commended the multi-agency effort, emphasizing that protecting children remains one of the department’s highest priorities.
