A Loudon County man has been convicted of tax evasion following an investigation by the Tennessee Department of Revenue. Last week, Judge Jeffrey Wicks accepted a guilty plea from David Blain Cantrell for one felony count of tax evasion related to the registration of a 2021 Can-Am ATV at the Loudon County Clerk’s Office.
Cantrell received a sentence of three years of supervised probation and a $500 fine, alongside an order to pay $1,921 in restitution to the state.
State officials emphasized that the case reflects ongoing efforts to enforce tax accountability and maintain fairness for taxpayers. Citizens aware of potential violations of Tennessee revenue laws can report them confidentially via the state’s tax fraud hotline at (800) 372-8389.
