Katie Christian, age 79, a resident of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 3, 1947, in Jellico, Kentucky, Katie spent part of her life in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, before making Oliver Springs her home in 2021. She worked as a beautician and was a member of Batley Baptist Church.

Katie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sparkling baby blue eyes, and her love for enjoying life’s simple pleasures. She loved going dancing, spending time at the beach, and treating herself to one of her favorite foods, lobster. Katie had a special way of bringing a smile to those around her, and the memories she leaves behind will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Katie was preceded in death by her brother, David Christian.

She leaves behind her former husband, Bob Sitterson; and her three sons, Robert R. Sitterson, Rodney G. Sitterson, and Derek T. Wells.

Katie is also survived by her brother, Richard Christian; and her sisters, Becky Christian and Rosa Lee Logan.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Nicholas, Leah, Amber, Jennifer, and Blake Sitterson; and her niece, Sabrina Cox, along with other extended family members and dear friends.

A service to honor and celebrate Katie’s life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, Tennessee.
