EXPLOSION REPORTED AT SPACEX LAUNCH SITE IN FLORIDA

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — CBS News is reporting an explosion at the SpaceX launch site in Florida.

According to NASA, SpaceX was conducting a test firing of an unmanned rocket when the blast happened on Thursday morning. The routine test was in advance of a planned launch on Saturday from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

CBS reports sirens went off and buildings several miles away shook from the blast. Multiple explosions continued for several minutes.
