Authorities say that a Florida woman who weighs over 325 pounds is charged with killing a 9-year-old by sitting on her as a punishment. 64-year-old Veronica Green Posey has been charged with homicide and cruelty toward a child. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Dept. says that Posey was Dericka Lindsey’s cousin, and that she sat on her as “discipline for being out of control.” According to authorities, the child’s parents, Grace and James Smith, called for Posey to come over to help with disciplining the girl. They are both charged with child neglect. Posey allegedly hit the child with a ruler and a metal pipe before she allegedly sat on her causing her to suffocate.
