The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into a fatal shooting that took place in Overton County. Agents say 41-year-old Timmy Melton suffered a gunshot wound to the head at a Highland Mountain Road residence. Melton was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville and later died from his injuries. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says the incident remains active and investigators have not determined the exact manner of death.
