An individual from Alcoa has been charged with the death of a Maryville man whose body was found in Loudon County back in July. Officers arrested 40-year-old John Edward Gauthier for the homicide of 49-year-old Robert Shultz. Authorities found Shultzs cellphone and truck at two separate locations in Loudon County. He was later found deceased on Friendsville Road. Gauthier is being held on $1 million bond and will appear in court September 17, 2018 in Blount County.
