A BUSY THURSDAY FOR HARRIMAN FIRE DEPARTMENT
Emergency services were busy in Roane County this afternoon after the Harriman Fire Department responded to two calls at nearly the same time around 12:15 p.m.
First responders and an ambulance were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pine Ridge Road and Highway 70. A woman involved in the crash was evaluated at the scene and possibly transported to the hospital. Traffic was temporarily halted in the area and rerouted through the scene by Harriman Police.
At the same time, Harriman fire crews were called to the Cracker Barrel for a medical emergency involving a woman in the restroom. It is unclear whether she was transported to the hospital.
The simultaneous incidents, along with several other medical calls, kept Harriman emergency crews busy throughout the afternoon.
