AAA SAYS THANKSGIVING TRAVELING WILL INCREASE THIS YEAR

If you’re planning on traveling for Turkey Day, AAA is projecting that you’ll be one of millions taking to the road. They say that 89 percent of those traveling will use roadways at a greater expense this year due to higher gasoline prices. Prices are the highest they have been since 2014. 1.16 million Tennesseans are expected to travel 50 miles or more for this Thanksgiving Holiday; an increase of 3.2 percent over 2016. Officials say that we are seeing an increase in travel because of lower unemployment, a healthy stock market and other factors.
